Search committee begins its work

The 2024/2025 season marks the end of the directorship of Hayat Erdoğan, Tine Milz and Julia Reichert. The fate of the theater will pass into new hands from the 2025/2026 season.
The Board of Directors of Theater am Neumarkt AG has therefore appointed a search committee and tasked it with finding a new director. The search committee is composed as follows:

• Dr. h.c. Lukas Bärfuss, writer
• Marie Bues, director, artistic director of the Schauspielhaus Wien
• Fatima Moumouni, spoken word poet, playwright, moderator
• Christian Pfister, Board of Directors of Theater am Neumarkt AG, independent communications consultant and mental health activist
• Michael Rüegg, Member of the Board of Theater am Neumarkt AG, Head of the Theater Department of the City of Zurich
• Gunda Zeeb, Member of the Board of Theater am Neumarkt AG, Co-Director of About Us! Zurich Transcultural and lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts

The search committee began its work in June 2023 and is chaired by Christian Pfister.

The position of artistic director will be advertised at the end of August. The goal is to be able to announce the successors to Hayat Erdoğan, Tine Milz and Julia Reichert at the beginning of 2024.

The Neumarkt Board of Directors is looking forward to two more intensive seasons with "Love Play Fight" under the current artistic direction.
