Zärtlichkeit

An theater evening about Tenderness

In three theatrical panels oriented around the concepts of faith, hope, and love, writers Fabian Saul and Senthuran Varatharajah gather events and narratives of grief, tears, and dream to imagine another hand and a more careful touch.

The things we touch touch us back - in places where we are deaf to them.
The things we see look back at us - in places where we will be blind to them.
The things we hear - have heard us.

«Zärtlichkeit» tells of these moments when we no longer have language, of the hours that leave us speechless. In three panels inspired by the Pauline concepts of faith, hope and love, writers Fabian Saul and Senthuran Varatharajah gather events and narratives of grief, tears and dreams to imagine another hand and a more careful touch - out of the darkness and in the diminishing light: until I will be nothing. Until the languages cease. Until I recognize, as I too have been recognized.
