Long Covid & ME/CFS in Switzerland
Panel discussion with experts from politics, medicine and society
We know that we don't know enough. Some do not want to know. Others can no longer afford the luxury of not knowing, and are left alone with not knowing. Long covid and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome affect only some, but affects us all. To counter the not-knowing, at least the societal one, we invite to a panel discussion with experts following a 24-hour marathon reading of patient stories.
Panel:
Manuel Battegay, Chief of Infectious Diseases & Hospital Hygiene, Professor of Infectious Diseases at the University of Basel, former Vice President of the Swiss National COVID-19 Science Task Force.
Rahel König, Assistant physician and doctoral student at the medical faculty of the University of Basel, is co-author of several publications on ME/CFS.
Chantal Britt, Long Covid Switzerland.
Jonas Sagelsdorff, Swiss Society for ME&CFS.
The patient organizations Long Covid Switzerland and Swiss Society for ME & CFS are committed to the recognition and research of post-infectious diseases. Together we would like to create a space for experiences of those affected. For affected people, for people close to them, for all interested people.
If you would like to show solidarity and read along with the marathon reading, you can find more information here.
